Arsenal 3-2 Swansea City

The scale of the task facing the former USA manager became clearer in a woeful defensive showing from his side.

Dutch goalkeeper Stekelenburg was the man of the match as he saved two penalties from Man City's Kevin De Bruyne in the first half and another from Sergio Aguero in the second. Six minutes later, Walcott took advantage of another failed clearance on the corner to make it 2-0.

In the 57th minute Mesut Ozil made it 3-1. And Wenger said it was the type of strike that showed why Ozil should be scoring more goals.

All in all, it wasn't a bad showing, considering Arsenal is so good at home and a contender to win the league.

The forward spurned another chance to complete the hat-trick when he turned substitute Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's pass onto the bar in the fourth minute of stoppage time, but Arsenal held on to take all three points.

"I've been the first one lately to criticise the team and the way we played, but tonight we showed we haven't given up and how much it means to us put a win on the board", said West Ham captain Mark Noble.

"I would say when we went two goals ahead we lost our focus and when you are playing a team who are down the bottom and trying to stay in the Premier League you can't do that", Wenger added.

Arsenal's in-form trio of Alexis Sanchez, Ozil, and Walcott continued to produce the sort of passing and movement that opposing defenses have struggled to cope with. The game was locked at 0-0 till the 90 minute and then finally in the 93 minute as Koscielny scored from Sanchez's cross to make it 0-1. Ozil's finish was excellent, as he thrashed the ball into the roof of the net. Its headed back in and Walcott's side-footed effort from close range is straight at the keeper.

Arsenal was seemingly on its way to a comfortable victory until carelessness from Granit Xhaka gifted the ball on the edge of his box to Sigurdsson, who expertly found the top corner with a curling left-footed shot in first-half stoppage time.

Granit Xhaka got himself sent off to leave Arsene Wenger's side up against it in the final 20 minutes.

In a sign of what he expects from his players, Bradley insisted there was more to come from Barrow.

"But we kept at it and there was some things I saw that we can build on". "When you see him in training, he scores basically when he wants".

The Gunners were rocking at this stage and were lucky to survive when Barrow headed straight at Petr Cech when unmarked in the box.
