OLED, Wireless Charging, and Printed Circuit Board Problems Plague iPhone 8

Look: This Is What The iPhone 8 May Look Like

Apple's iPhone 8 is probably the most anticipated device to launch this year.

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on Thursday (Apr. 27) published an Apple patent application describing a method by which you could charge your iPhone wirelessly with help from the Wi-Fi router in your home.

Obviously, it's worth noting that this is only a patent, not an indication that Apple is actually working on a magical router that can give you gigabit Wi-Fi while simultaneously charging your iPhone from across a room.

The successive leaks of iPhone 8 continue to come through with the latest one displaying a great deal of what to expect from the internals of the smartphone.

Geskin's device is the same size as an iPhone 7, but the edge-to-edge display allows for more screen size within the same hardware dimensions.

Yet another alleged iPhone 8 schematic has leaked and shows no rear Touch ID, but a big circle at the back and the rumored vertically-lined dual cameras. Rumors and insider speculation claim the iPhone 8, Apple's expected premium iPhone model coming this fall, will include wireless charging support.

However, one of the key things for the possible and significant increase in the autonomy of iPhone 8 lies in the choice of an OLED screen.

The new technology would use special antennas to direct a "beam" of energy over such frequencies, for example those used by Wi-Fi connections.

But it probably shouldn't have done considering the tech giant has been making products in collaboration with the Aids charity for many years, from iPhone cases back to early generations of the iPod.

The concept video was put together by folks over at ConceptsiPhone, which provide fans with a gorgeous three-dimensional view of Apple's 2017 flagship iPhone.

Recent reports claim that the Touch ID fingerprint sensor and 3D recognition sensor of the upcoming iPhone 8 are causing headaches to its manufacturers.

Apple iPhone 7 - you won't believe these pictures have been taken on a smartphone Mon, January 30, 2017 APPLE'S iPhone 7 has an all-new camera and these pictures show off its stunning low light abilities. According to one leaker, the feature would require iPhone 8 owners to keep the device on a charging pad to get juice.

Other patents previously filed by Apple suggest the firm has also been exploring the option of more traditional inductive wireless charging.
