Wenger blasts 'holidaying' West Ham after Liverpool win

Arsenal Team average- 7.35

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is convinced that his side have rediscovered the impetus needed to squeeze into the top four and gatecrash next season's Champions League as they prepare for Tuesday's showdown with Sunderland.

Wenger accused those mid-table sides safe from relegation as "being on holiday" and fears West Brom, now eighth and with nothing left to play for this season, will play out a similar role at Manchester City tonight.

Wenger will be hoping Middlesbrough - who face Liverpool on Sunday with nothing to play for after being relegated - and City's remaining opponents, West Brom and Watford, can do Arsenal a favour by picking up results.

"I don't want to judge that", he said when asked whether West Ham had failed to put in a performance on Sunday to match their surprise victory over title-chasing Tottenham last week. "Some teams turn up, some go on holiday", he said.

"We have a lot of heart, a lot of character and, even though in some games it may not look like we've shown it, the team really wants to be there (in the Champions League) and we've shown that (against Stoke)".

Manchester United are also set to finish outside the top four, although they could still make the Champions League if they win the Europa League final against Ajax. If they do I reckon we will be there to take advantage and if that happened I would give us a great chance of lifting the FA cup.

"By doing this, we can send a message to Stan Kroenke (Arsenal's US-based owner) and Arsene Wenger that Arsenal should be doing so much better".

It remains to be seen whether Sanchez will still be at Arsenal next season as he has just over a year remaining on his current contract at the club. "I have nothing else to say". We have created the momentum again by winning six of the last seven games after having a period away from home where we were not stable. "We managed to get one back and were on top for a bit but they caught us with a sucker punch and from then on we couldn't recover", said Berahino.

"It's a great win and we've got two more finals to come".
