LeBron James overtakes Michael Jordan as Cavaliers reach National Basketball Association finals again

SAN ANTONIO TX- MAY 22 Assistant General Manager Travis Schlenk of the Golden State Warriors looks on against the San Antonio Spurs during Game Four of the Western Conference Finals of the 2217 NBA Playoffs

It's tough to say that we didn't expect it. "We're in the NBA Finals". The Cleveland Cavaliers managed to secure its third win in the series 112-99 and now the Celtics are facing a crucial elimination for the second time this Eastern Conference Finals series.

James has played 212 career playoff games - and is now in the NBA Finals for a seventh straight time.

Who isn't consumed with this?

Now, we get to see the much anticipated clash between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers. "I'm not in the right mind to even talk about Golden State". I'm very happy about our accomplishment.

Golden State has glowed in this postseason, becoming the first team to start 12-0 while winning by an average of 16.3 points per game - the highest margin league history.

"But people may want to be careful, because I think right now you're witnessing greatness".

"Ultimately, we feel like this is a bad taste", Crowder said.

"Us and Cleveland worked our butts off all year to put ourselves in position to be playing for a championship, and the league is as strong talentwise across the board as it's ever been", Curry said (via ESPN).

By the second half, about the only suspense laid in when James would break Michael Jordan's record for playoff points at 5,987.

Love sees a confident team that is the defending National Basketball Association champions, as he told Dave McMenamin of ESPN. Tristen Thompson has learned to shoot free throws and still tosses bodies around under the rim. But it's one that we're going to hear a lot until Thursday's first game. and probably beyond. If they can't contain him, the Cavs could pull off the upset.

Well, even if James may be playing possum with his compliments for the Warriors, he isn't wrong.

If the Cavs finish the Warriors even sooner than seven games, that would still be a better finish to the National Basketball Association season.

It wasn't a sweep, but the Cleveland Cavaliers finished off the Boston Celtics in five games to become the 2017 NBA Eastern Conference Champions.

The Warriors beat Cleveland for the title two years ago, and the Cavaliers turned the tables last year with a remarkable rally from a 3-1 series deficit to capture the title in seven games. "But it doesn't mean anything going into the next series, and we have to understand that".

"Everyone wants to say, 'Ah man, this is boring and this, that and the other, ' but you usually don't appreciate something until you don't have it anymore", Draymond Green said. "The great thing about this is the experience". "But we're going to enjoy this for a couple more days before we have to lock in on that juggernaut out west". It's not the end of the world.

Brown also noted how much James has improved his shooting, saying you can't just go underneath pick-and-rolls on him anymore.

But if games three and four are any indication, it won't be easy. If it's 4-3, great. After all, the Spurs were without Kawhi Leonard for three games. But honestly, probably not. Ironically, the Wizards' two series against the Hawks and Celtics were probably the best, or at least the most eventful.

Irving reflected on his big game and what it felt like to have to step up with LeBron on the bench.
