Jared Kushner finally speaks, and the internet can't stop talking about it

Tech CEOs to Visit White House Kushner Speaks

Kushner highlighted the efforts of the department of Veterans Affairs to move the agency to electronic health records, by adopting a commercial system that's used by the Pentagon. The ATC was designed by Trump to help cut government waste.

White House senior adviser Jared Kushner welcomes technology company leaders to a summit of the American Technology Council at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building in Washington, U.S. June 19, 2017.

"Our goal here is simple - we are here to improve the day to day lives of the average citizen", Kushner said. Unfortunately, the dark cloud looming over the Trump administration because of the Russian Federation investigation prevents many Americans, including tech industry leaders, from taking the council seriously.

Technology CEOS are expected at the White House Monday for an event focused on modernizing government.

This was the first meeting of the White House's American Technology Council, which will see the Trump administration work alongside tech companies to bring federal bureaucracy up to date with the latest technology.

Kushner did not, however, discuss recent reports that he is mulling whether to change-up his legal team in the face of investigation into the Trump administration's ties to Russian Federation.

A video of White House adviser Jared Kushner speaking hit the internet on Monday and people went wild on Twitter over hearing the sound of his voice.

Others attending include Alphabet Inc Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt, venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Chairman John Doerr and the CEOs of Microsoft Corp International Business Machines Corp, Intel Corp, Qualcomm Inc, Oracle Corp and Adobe Systems Inc.

Specifically, Tim Cook pitched to President Trump that the united States should make coding a requirement in school's, something he has voiced his opinion on in the past as well.

During the course of the meeting, Trump maintained that the US Federal government was woefully behind the private sector in terms of technology, and that it needed to catch up.

The senior aide is scheduled to arrive on Wednesday for meetings in Jerusalem al-Quds and Ramallah, a White House official said Tuesday.

Notably absent from this second meeting is Elon Musk, the chief executive of Tesla and SpaceX, who recently quit as an outside economic advisor to the president in protest of Trump's decision to withdraw from the Paris Agreement on climate change.

"Bezos added: "[We must] continue to work hard and figure out ways to retrain and upskill workers all over the U.S.".
