Corinne Opens Up About 'BIP' Shutdown In Emotional Interview

Corinne Olympios Bachelor Paradise GMA

Olympios, who was portrayed in a villain role on this year's "The Bachelor" season 21, told "GMA" she was "weaning off" the unnamed medication and that she had lessened her alcohol use.

Speaking out for the first time since everything has blown over - and just before her one-on-one interview with Chris Harrison tonight as part of the new two-hour BiP episode - the reality star opened up to Good Morning America about the details of what happened and the backlash she received in the media. "But I didn't know you were not supposed to drink on", she said during her interview.

'The first day unfortunately I don't remember much of, ' she told Chris in front of a live studio audience. She adds about Jackson, "I never was mad at you or blaming you for anything".

Harrison asked Olympios to go back to the first day of filming, when she had a sexual encounter with castmate DeMario Jackson. "And I wish you all the best and I'm just.I'm sorry". Watching the footage later, "It's like I'm watching not me, I'm watching someone else", she said. I'm so sorry you had to go through this. "She straddled me, like put her...literally smack dab right there", putting his hand on his face. I have nothing against you. "A victim of having something this serious happen to you and have the media paint you a certain way that you know you aren't and having all these people make their judgments and comments and they don't even know what happened or went on". "It can look like you're totally present and totally there, and your mind is just not anywhere near", she explained.

"There's no way for you guys to know that [I] was mentally checked out, like, 'Corinne's not here right now, ' which is beyond scary". (Corinne later clarified she felt victimized by the press as well as people with judgments and assumptions about the scandal).

And though she says she wishes the best for Jackson, she did admit that his quick defense sent up several red flags.

"I'm really happy that this is finally coming to an end", she told People. I know exactly what it feels like. Jackson gave his side of the story last week, and now it's Olympios' turn.

"#Bachelor in Paradise" in June 2017 faced controversy due to two of its contestants' sexual scandal during the filming of the show's Season 4 production. After weeks of investigation, Warner Bros found that no misconduct occurred the night of the incident and production resumed. However, Corinne's legal team had previously released a statement stating that Corinne was a "victim." You know, I was really a victim of the media.

"I don't think Corinne's statements came from her, " Derek Peth opined.

"I do have a [reality] show in the works, and I'm also working on a scripted show with one of my favorite producers", she said.
